Digital Domain

Cell phone has become a dominant feature in our lives.

With it the technology is moving fast.

It is increasingly becoming difficult for senior citizens to keep pace.

Additionally there are many new utilities to cope with.

The memory impairment is another disability that come with old age, in addition to vision and hearing.

Thankfully my major handicap was losing memory.

I believe it was related to alcohol and I gave it up completely.

I did not stop at that but started developing habits to improve memory.

Cell phone was very useful in this regard and I knew (never used one) very little about them.

I generally like hacking computers and used that inclination to see the working of cell phones.

Instead of going for an expensive one, I invested on a cheap one and got the hang of the touch screen, internals like battery and SIM.

Then I gave it to the domestic aid and went for little higher one with TV facility.

At that stage, I realized, it is a tiny computer.

I had used two cheap tablets before and mastering the tiny screen was easy.

Finally, I searched for a top version of the android (mash mellow and others avoided) and went for a Nokia phone with a higher version, which let's one splits the screen.

This was handy.

To avoid boredom because of the election, I started using the cell phone for blogging (using the computer for tiny blogs is colossal waste of electricity).
In any case I avoided blogging after the election was declared.

In any case, electricity bill is up and we have started saving electricity.

Just now there is power failure and I am working under an emergency lamp.

In 24 hours I have overalled the entire system including the typing utility.

I downloaded flash card utility and started a card for each French Phrase I learned.

Floating notes were placed with memory loads of information.

All these not only increased my productivity and also my memory.

Instead of blog pieces, I probably will make a few digital flash cards a day saving trees, in that.process.

So I going to say good bye to my blog post for good.

By the way, I started a new blog post toady.

It's name is digital creativity.

Some of my future posts may be dedicated to senior gentlemen but I would try keep.pace with young guys, especially the developers of the android world.

Thanks guys and girls, it makes me to keep on batting for few more years of blogging, instead of watching TV.
